📚 課程概要

• 課程目標： ESP教師專業發展課程–科學領域¹，旨在透過互動講座及教師共備，引導教師精準規劃與執行ESP課程，為學生在日後EMI課堂中做更好的語言準備。 
  （註1：包含理學院、生命科學院、工學院、醫護學院等相關學門。）
• 課程主題： 
  • (一) ESP-EMI雙向協作架構
  • (二) ESAP概念架構
  • (三) ESP課程規劃
  • (四) ESP有效教學策略
• 課程時數：為期5天，每天上課6小時（9:00-12:00；13:00-16:00），共計30小時。每位學員另須完成6小時「ESP個人課程規劃實作、分享及回饋」課程，包括 4小時非同步個人作業（含個人課程規劃、實作及同儕回饋），以及2小時同步講師回饋與研討。 請假時數限制3小時內，課程「第一天（整體課程架構解說）」、「第五天（小組報告與觀議課）」及「2小時同步講師回饋與研討」不受理請假作業。
• 課程時間：115年11月14日、11月15日、11月21日、11月22日、11月28日、12月05日、12月06日 
• 課程地點：全程線上課程，將使用Cisco Webex進行（需全程開啟視訊鏡頭參與，本課程不建議僅使用手機上線，學員需自備電腦、耳機、麥克風）

2026 ESP PD Program (Science Cohort S3) is now open!

Are you looking to enhance your ESP (English for Specific Purposes) teaching competencies? Do you want to master ESP curriculum design and effective teaching strategies while collaborating with fellow educators from across the nation?  We cordially invite you to join us in exploring the future of ESP instruction! 

📚 Course Overview 

• I. Course objectives: In ESP PD-Science cohort¹, ESP teachers will be better equipped to design and implement courses through interactive lecturing and teacher collaboration, effectively preparing students for learning in EMI environments. 
  (Note 1: This cohort is designed for faculty members from the Colleges of Science, Life Sciences, Engineering, Medicine and Nursing, as well as related academic disciplines. )
• II. Course topics: 
  • A. ESP-EMI Collaboration 
  • B. ESAP Conceptual Framework
  • C. ESP Curriculum Design 
  • D. ESP Effective Teaching Strategies
• III. Course hours: The course consists of 5 days’ online instruction (30 hours total), with 6 hours of instruction per day (9:00-12:00; 13:00-16:00). Each participant also needs to complete an additional 6 hours of “ESP individual curriculum design presentation, feedback, and reflection.” The 6 hours include 4 hours of asynchronous individual tasks (i.e., individual curriculum design and peer feedback) and 2 hours of synchronous lecturer feedback and discussion. ] The total hours of leave should NOT exceed 3 hours.  Leave requests will not be accepted for the following sessions: the first day (course overview), the fifth day (group presentation), and the 2 hours of synchronous lecturer feedback and discussion. 
• IV. Course schedule: Nov. 14, Nov. 15, Nov. 21, Nov. 22, Nov. 28, Dec. 5, and Dec. 06, 2026 
• V. Venue: Online courses via Cisco Webex (Participants are required to keep their cameras on throughout the classes. Connecting through cell phones is NOT suggested. Participants need to prepare computers, headphones, microphones, and cameras.) 
• VI. Fee: Free of charge
