Mission

Missions

  1. Assisting in the delivery of non-major English courses and the administration of related proficiency tests for undergraduate and graduate students at the University.
  2. Creating a friendly environment to motivate and facilitate language learning.
  3. Providing professional writing consultation services for students and faculty members at NCKU to support academic purposes.
  4. Conducting Continuing Education Programs for NCKU students, faculty members, and local residents interested in learning foreign languages, including English, Japanese, French, German, Spanish, Korean, and Vietnamese.
  5. Hosting standardized proficiency tests, such as GEPT, TOEIC, and IELTS, in collaboration with international testing institutions.
  6. Publishing the English as a Global Language Education (EaGLE) Journal, a peer-reviewed, open-access academic journal addressing issues in language teaching and learning within globalized contexts where English functions as a Lingua Franca.
