Foreign Language Proficiency Requirements
Undergraduate students must meet the foreign language proficiency requirements stipulated in their respective department's curriculum regulations before graduation. Please contact your department office to confirm the specific requirements for your program.
- Procedure for Meeting the Requirement: After passing the required proficiency benchmark (e.g., passing a standardized test), students must log in to the "English Course Waiver/Exemption and Confirmation of Foreign Language Competence System" before graduation. Upload the relevant score report or proof of achievement. The certification process is complete only after the documents have been reviewed and approved by your department office. Students will be held legally responsible for any forged or fraudulent documents submitted.
- Failing to Meet the Requirement (Alternative Option): Students who do not meet the proficiency requirement but have successfully completed their 4 required English credits may take the one-semester "Online Remedial English" course. Passing this course will be considered as having met the foreign language proficiency requirement. If a department has alternative regulations for students who do not meet the benchmark, the department's regulations shall take precedence.
